Brodhead Watershed Conservation Plan Great Sources for Watershed Information

Watershed Association About the Brodhead Watershed Association The Brodhead Watershed Association (BWA) is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to protecting and improving water resources and the environment in the Brodhead and Cherry creek watershed. The BWA assists municipalities, residents, businesses and groups with protecting natural resources through education, workshops, seminars, public programs, stream monitoring and baseline data collection and stream cleanups. The BWA is a volunteer grassroots organization. Financial support comes entirely from membership contributions. We also seek grants to carry out special projects to benefit the watershed community. Twenty volunteers make up our Board of Directors. Board members live throughout the watershed. The Board meets quarterly, and a 6-8 member Executive Committee meets monthly. A meeting of the members is held annually, to elected new board members and to update the members on current topics in the watershed. Special events are held throughout the year. View our calendar to see what's coming up.
MissionThe mission of the Brodhead Watershed Association is to protect the environment and water resources within the watershed. Strategies to achieve the mission include education to enhance public understanding of water issues, data collection, community activism, and legislative review.
