On November 2nd, 2009, Pat led the organization until handing over the reins to Rob Sedwin on October 3, 2011. Pat will continue on the Board as secretary. Pat replaced Don Baylor, who served his second term as President from 2008-2009. Don continues as an executive Board member.
Kennedy is an associate professor in the Communications Studies department at East Stroudsburg University. Before joining the ESU faculty, Kennedy spent nearly twenty years as a lawyer, principally as a municipal attorney for the city of Ithaca, New York. Kennedy is especially proud of her successful defense of a city planning board decision to place strong environmental and aesthetic conditions on a proposed Wal-Mart store in a national park "viewshed," and her work on inter-municipal water and sewer agreements.
During her term as President, Pat made good use of her experience as a lawyer and her training as a communicator.
